Never buy from PC World

router and walked out with a replacement 5 minutes later.

Depends. I work about 2 minutes walk away from the nearest PC world,
and as long as I get a business receipt when I make the initial
purchase, I have never yet had a problem with returns. They know
they're the easiest for consumables and general tat we need quickly,
and they know the amount of business we send their way for exactly that
reason.

Can we define at this point as to what you "IT Managers" would use PC
World for?

Purchase of multiple PC's and printers (and the 'excellent customer
service and warranties that go with them') or the occasional Epson ink
cartridge?

PC world is a perfectly valid place to purchase things when you need them
same day. And the business direct service is as cheap and cheerless as most
mail order companies.

Same Day = urgent need.

Business Direct from a company geared toward consumer purchase = one to
avoid, IMO

You've obviously never had any dealings as a business with them then.

PC World. It'll still be around in 12 months. Bridlington has seen
about a dozen PC shops open and close over the last 10 years.

Why the hell anyone would buy a router from PC World Hull when Solwise is
only a couple of miles away from it I don't know.

Billion 7402, the only home / small office router you'll ever need, unless
you need the 7500GL or 7402W for any particular reason...
