Dunno...twice I've walked into the Hull branch with a Belkin ADSL Modem
router and walked out with a replacement 5 minutes later.

Refund & replace time? (a few minutes in the car...)

Ha ha ha. Stop, my ribs -

They're fine if you keep your receipt, box and manuals etc.

Precisely.

Interesting opinion. Personally, I think only a complete ****wit of a
business would make a fuss about a low value item and not only lose a
customer FOR EVER but also generate some rather negative internet postings.

Do you think they give a flying **** about a punter who comes in once
in a blue flood and only spends £10-£50?

They should. Because that "punter who comes in once in a blue flood and
only spends £10-£50" may have friends or colleagues who wish to spend 10
times that. That "punter who comes in once in a blue flood and only
spends £10-£50" might throw such a negative light on things as to
preclude those friends / colleagues as potential customers.

Because that "punter who comes in once in a blue flood and only spends
£10-£50" may later on be in a position to spend £10,000 - £50,000".

Because service is service, regardless of the amount being spent. Where
do you draw the line? £500? £1000?

Can we define at this point as to what you "IT Managers" would use PC
World for?

Anything I need at very short notice.

And if there were a counter service from A N Other vendor nearby, which
would you choose?

PC World. It'll still be around in 12 months. Bridlington has seen
about a dozen PC shops open and close over the last 10 years.

Why the hell anyone would buy a router from PC World Hull when Solwise is
only a couple of miles away from it I don't know.

Billion 7402, the only home / small office router you'll ever need, unless
you need the 7500GL or 7402W for any particular reason...
