Default I've tried a few times

to get some info for my burner not working right and have managed to get
things just about right, except sometimes when burning test music cds
the last few tracks take forever to be read if I skip forward to them on
my hifi, and when they start they will start a few seconds into the
tune. Is this a fault with the writer or something else?

Try burning at a variety of burn speeds; median for your drive are a
good place to start; on a variety of media formulations.

Thanks Tim, I actually got my first coaster tonight while keeping up the
testing, burning got to like 98% and came up with a failure. Burned same
stuff at 16x instead of 24x and it went fine. My old drive was fine but it
was so slow it was hard to get it to do anything wrong :O)
