System temps
I've seen the suggested running and max temps for the cpu but I can't find
what might be a reasonable temp for mobo and HDD. I assembled this machine a couple years ago but I never installed a case cooling fan until the other day and never paid a lot of attention to system temps other than cpu and case. Adding the case fan didn't do anything for the cpu and case temps but I did notice that my FIC33 mobo is running at 33 degrees while my Celeron 1000 MHz cpu is running at 29 degrees and my slave Maxtor 120GB HDD is running at 40 degrees. Apparently my Maxtor 40 GB master HDD doesn't have a sensor. Are these mobo and HDD temps within what would be considered normal? Also what would cause the mobo to be running hotter than the cpu? This is very basic mobo w/o any add ons. Wayne |
