Default CD Drive can no longer read MP3 discs - any ideas for a fix?

Hi

My cousin is having trouble with her PC.

She just instaled norton Internet security 2003. Seems like since then
she can no longer read MP3 discs. Maybe its just conincidence its
happened just after that - but this was the only major change to her
system (Win XP home, Plextor CD-RW) and MP3's played fine beforehand.

Whenever she tries access the CD drive she gets a notice which says -
"drive is NOT ACCESSIBLE" "incorrect function"

ANy ideas?

Thanks

Ian
