Default OCing advice for a newbee

Hi

I have the following

ASUS a7S333
Athlon XP2000+
512 Mb RAM (I believe this is DDR 2700, I have two memory chips from
different suppliers but works fine together - if a problem I may take one
out).
AGP Inno3d TNT2 64Mb (to be replaced v.soon with at least Gforce4)
various pci cards (pixelview bt878 tvcap, audio is onboard, 3com fast
etherlink for b-band access, old pci modem I dont use etc)

Now this is pretty alrite for my uses, not so good for games.
Im looking to improve for games, possibly a geforce4 4200 or something. I
was wondering about clocking it since its running at the standard 1666 freq.
At pres, the FSB/PCI freq is 133/33 and I notice of the standard cpu freqs
only offers 1200 or 1666. If you do manual , it allows higher than 133 but
this is locked to the PCI freq so hence you get 134/34 and so on. Maximum
CPU multiplier allowed is 12.5x.

I was thinking of doing the XP+ L1 trick with epoxy and conductive pen (mind
you theyre expensive and part the cost of getting a faster processor).
Any advise please on overclocking the XP? Can I get away with upping the FSB
AND the PCI at the same time or is this likely to cause hanging and stuff?

I think I got the general idea, I probably HAVE to unlock the XP for being
able to do it properly, so maybe I'll just have to wait for that. If so the
Asus big claims about overclockability are a bit null and void...

Im on holiday 1 week for a well needed rest so may not be able to read the
news, perhaps you can email me if you have any tips or links my email is
(correct the bit past the @ as necessary)

cheers
Tony
