Presario Laptop lockup
I am new to this group, so if this question has been asked before - flame
away!! I have a Compaq Presario 710US that continually locks up for no apparent reason - It runs XP Home edition 5.1.2600 SP1. It usually locks up when on the charger, although it has also locked up in AOL. Word, Excel and etc. Anyone got the universal solution? I got a patch from Compaq awhile ago - didn't help. Rockford Ron

Rockford Ron Check Event Viewer Logs for repeating warnings or errors, especially disk write errors. Of course there will be services start/stop etc., which mean nothing. Anything hardware related is important. Q
