Default JNI (AMCC) FC adapters misbehaving

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if any of you guys are using JNI FC6460 adapters on
Solaris connected to HP XP 512 or HDS storage devices. Preferable
using Brocade 2800 / 3800 fabric switches and Veritax VxVM and DMP.
We have a long history of trouble with JNI cards and would like to
compare our configuration files with other people's configuration
files and exchange some ideas about stability of these things.

What happens

- sometimes rebooting a host causes switches in the fabric to go down
- sometimes rebooting a switch causes Sun 15K domains to paic with JNI
driver errors
- path failures are not interpreted as such and DMP does not try to
queue I/O to alternate controller

Thanks
seb
