Default JIUCB 1700+ Core Voltage Maximum Limit?

Hi,

Just got a 1700+ (AXDA1700DUT3C 9267626270859 JIUCB0251RPMW) T'Bred "B"
processor and I'm in the process of overclocking it.

The specs are as follows:

ASUS A7N8X-Deluxe
BIOS: Uber 1007
2 x 256 Corsair PC3200 RAM
Coolermaster Aero7+ Cooler

I've had to push the Vcore (default 1.600) up quite considerably already
just to get it running at 166x12.5 for 2083MHz, it is currently running at
1.750, with core temp at around 30c under full Prime95 load.

If I increase the FSB above 166MHz, Prime95 fails.

Am I safe to increase the VCore about 1.750? I always worked on a 10%
margin above stock.

I already have a machine identical specs, although the CPU is an 1800+ JIUHB
that I have running at 180x12.5 for 2250MHz

Thanks in advance

That may be all that CPU can do. If you want a faster FSB for better
bandwidth, lower the multiplier, then raise the FSB. Keep the speed at
around 2000 MHz. Once you get the FSB up to whatever you want, then try
pushing the multiplier up. With good cooling, I've seen people run with
1.85v Vcore.

Ya, 1.9v here, running at 2.3ghz. The voltage is pretty much
irrelevant, what really matters is the temperatures. Remember that the
Northbridge has to handle all this data going through it also, so raise the
Vchipset to the max setting.

I have the same setup, with the 2700LL RAM and I can't go above 168, but @
168 I can run Prime95 for 13 hours. I wonder if were to goto higer voltage,
could I get higher FSB w/ lower multiplier?

Mid 30's deg C at idle and mid to high 40's at full load (depending on how
high I have my Delta 120mm turned up)......Not bad temps even for a stock
system let alone one running at 2.5GHs/2.06V. The heatsinks a SLK900U
