drivers fore philips model no pcrw1610 cdrw

? What OS? must be linux FBSD or whatever , obviously because widows will
load generic ATPI drivers in the end.

he's using aol
so i doubt if he's a BSD user

note to OP:
try hitting F5 while booting up
and from safe mode remove all refereces to cdrom
in device manager
then reboot and windows should detect it
