Default comparable rack storage space...

Good Day.

Does anyone know of a rack enclosure that is supports SCSI
bus of Ultra 80 & maybe even 160.
Around 6 verticle (on end) bays (comparable to the IBM
3519). 4U in height.
I'm looking to update my enclosure for faster drives. To
include @ least 6 vertical bays.

TIA.
Al

CIdesign makes a lot of that stuff.

They even make one with 9 5.25" bays so you can mix and match hard drives,
tapes and cds in one case.

I'm not sure what you mean by "6 verticle (on end) bays" or what the
IBM 3519 is, but check out Xyratex's JBOD (and RAID) units. They have
2U units that hold 8 drives, 3U units that hold 12 drives and 3U units
that hold 14 drives. I recall that the 3U/12 drive unit holds
half-height and low-profile drives while the others hold only the
low-profile drives. All the current models are either Ultra160 or
Ultra320 capable. 1-4 buses depending on model and configuration.

I normally buy from Alex @ Impediment )
