Boot From Floppy Drive Connected to Adaptec SCSI Controller
I have an Adaptec ISA bus SCSI controller with an FDC chip on it. It allows me to boot from and use two floppy drives (non-SCSI) as if they were connected to the motherboard. It works fine in one of my motherboards but in the one I really want to use (Commell P4BWA) it just gives me a floppy error 40. I have the FDC disabled in BIOS as I'm supposed to do and the FDC enabled on the Adaptec board. As I said, it works fine on the older motherboard (Intel 865 chipset) but on the Commell (965 chipset) it just gives the floppy error. I've tried two of the Commell boards with the same results. Is there some trick to getting this setup to work?
