Except for the fact that he's right about getting consistent results
from oem ink. Not to mention, getting tested print longevity with
oem ink/paper combinations. Oh yeah, and getting supported color
profiles that don't change from batch to batch. Oh, and did I forget
that with oem ink/paper combinations, you won't find ink puddling on
the paper either? Or that you won't find that funny color cast that
you don't know where it came from?

OH YEAH

OEM PROVIDES

CONSISTENT RESULTS
TESTED PRINT LONGEVITY
SUPPORTED COLOR PROFILES THAT DO NOT CHANGE FROM BATCH TO BATCH
NO INK PUDDLING
NO FUNNY COLOR CAST
YOU CAN BUY THE SAME EXACT THING ANYWHERE
YOU KNOW WHO THE MFG/FORMULATOR IS
IT IS DESIGNED FOR THE PRINTER
AND THE PRINTER IS DESIGNED FOR THE INK
YES IT DOES COST TOO MUCH
IT WILL CLOG THE LEAST
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DEAL WITH UNPROFESSIONAL RELABELER SELLERS

unfortunately, you do NOT know who the Mfg/formulator of the ink is and
it can change without you ever being "notified". I have not seen a
single manufacturers ink cartridge that stated who supplied/made the
ink.
WHatever your smoking seems to bring on massive hallucinations.

WRONGO BONGO. CANON IS THE DESIGNER AND ENGINEER OF BOTH THEIR PRINTER
AND THE FORMULATOR OF THEIR INK (THAT YOU USE) AND CANON DESIGNED THEM
TO WORK TOGETHER. AS YOU CAN SEE ON THEIR NEW IP SERIES THEY CHANGED
THE PART # OF THE CART.

ANYWAYS, I HAVE BEEN BROWSING THIS NG FOR THE PAST FEW DAYS AND I GUESS
THERE IS A NEW POSTER THAT IS JUST GIVING MANY OF THE CREEPOS A RUN FOR
THEIR MONEY.

I AM ENJOYING THAT. HE MUST HAVE COME WITH SANTEE KLAUS.

HA HA HA HA

Same goes for OEM ink too, so there.

The good companies do state whose ink is in their cartridge, and may even
state some info about the formulation.

You are of course correct. I know of no OEM manufacturer who states that they
"formulate AND manufacture" their inks (there may be one or two of course but I
doubt there are many), they may formulate it in conjunction with the ink
manufacturer but it is a fact that several outsource the manufacturing.

We know (at least I know, thanks to Ron) that Image Specialists formulate ink
for many printers and provide that ink to highly reputable companies that
package and sell under their own brand. I suspect the same is true for several
others. Makes sense really, unlike our unfriendly troll.
