OT--Backup Software
Does anyone have any recommendations for easy to use, automated backup
software. Basically I want something to use to back up my hard drive to an external hard drive. If the software is free that would be even better. TIA Brian |

Try Second Copy, surely someone you know must have a copy.

Not free, but try Acronis True Image. It has bailed me out of several
fixes. http://www.acronis.com You can run it a trial copy for a short time to see whether it suits your needs. -- Alan |

While I am not a big Acronis True Image fan, mainly because it won't restore from *some* USB drives, which makes it worthless once you find this out. But there are two free Acronis True Image versions if you have Seagate, Maxtor, or Western Digital drives. Acronis True Image Seagate Edition (DiscWizard) http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/sup...ads/discwizard Acronis True Image WD Edition http://support.wdc.com/product/downl...&wdc_lang =en -- Bill Gateway M465e ('06 era) - Centrino Duo 1.83G - 2GB - Windows XP SP3 |
