Default Overclocking Update

Hello all,

Some of you might remember a few days ago I posted about my Celeron 1.3, I
was running at 1.52ghz then. I've had another play, dropped a large case fan
in to get rid on the hot air and am now using a Cooler Master Aero 7 Lite
heatsink & fan, a very large bit of kit that only just fits ;-). Result is
1.6ghz stable and CPU temp of 33 degrees after an hour of Prime95, CPU Core
at 1.47V. I'm off to see just how high I can get it now LOL

Cheers
Matt

Why would anyone sign themselves "idiot"?

Phil Weldon, pweldonatmindjumpdotcom
For communication,
replace "at" with the 'at sign'
replace "mindjump" with "mindspring."
replace "dot" with "."

A *Tualatin* Celeron. Not one of those neutered P4 cellys.

Its like putting a sporty exhaust an a heap of junk....

Or an old sports car. Them Tuis were better than the early P4s. I bet it'd
kick the arse of a P4 1.8GHz., or a 2.6GHz P4 Celly.

Anyway, this is alt.comp.hardware.overclocking, not
alt.comp.hardware.overclocking.latest-and-greatest-my-dick-is-bigger-than-yo
urs. It's all about getting the most out of the CPU you have.

Nothing wrong with a Tualatin Celeron - 256K cache, slightly faster than
a Coppermine P3 and way faster than a .18u P4 (at the same clock speed).

Then pardon me for feeding him. I thought he was merely ignorant.
