Thought P4's were locked
I just bought a 2.6 800fbs cpu and installed it in a Abit IC7-Max 3. I am
able to overclock it to 3.3 gzh, but I thought these new processors were locked. Did I get luckily or is my OS lying to me?

You can up the FSB, you just can't change the multiplier. Intel CPU's have had locked multipliers for years. Erm, neither. There's nothing mega special about your CPU, and your OS isn't lying. The problem was your original assumption about the CPU's being *totally* locked.
