Default A K7NCR18G mb problem

I have K7NCR18GPRO2 MB, 256 DDR(Samsung 400) and SATA disk (Maxtor 120GB).
Often the whole system freezes for one minute and the HDD indicator lamp is
on
for a minute. after that all is like nothing happened. Sometimes whitout any
reason and especially when disk is; copying, reading...
All that happened with another memory and another Maxtor 120GB(sata).
When I tested the pc with an ATA disk, everything apeared to work OK.
Help neaded. pleeeeeeeeeease.
