Default Ximeta Netdisk with 802.11g wireless router - PROBLEMS!!!!

I'm have a 160GB Netdisk (hard drive with Ethernet port) from Ximeta
connected to a wireless router (Dlink DI-624) using an Ethernet cable
(i.e. the Netdisk is not wireless). My laptop has a regular Ethernet
card as well as a wireless card.

When I use the laptop in wired mode the Netdisk performs very well.
Problem is, when I use the laptop in wireless mode, the Netdisk
disconnects in around 3 seconds. I have the latest firmware and
"enhancement" patch from Ximeta -- its not helping. Can anyone help?
