Default How to open links in IE6/XP home on D8300

How can you open some links when you click on them and they open a new
browser window, but it is blank. Not all links will "copy as shortcut" to
paste into the browser address, nor does their address show up when you try
to get the "properties" to show the URL to type it in manually. Solutions?
