nvidia Card Recommendation? FX5200 FX5600 ultra 256mb ti 4200

Can anyone give some good recommendations on which video card to pick
based on my current setup? I have been happy with it playing vice
city but I have begun to see problems after I install a few dozen mod
cars.

Dell Dimension 8100
P4 1.3 GHz
256mb PC800 in 2 rimms
Geforce 2 GTS 32mb
Etc

What are your opinions based on past experience of the Geforce 2 GTS.

How do you test your system performacne 3dmark something?

I plan on upgrading the CPU to 2 GHz and doubling the memory but I
think it is obvious that the video card is the weakest link, so it is
going bye bye! Is this assessment correct?

I have my eye on the FX5600 ultra 128mb and FX5600 256 non-ultra.
Considering my system would FX5200 128 be an adequate alternative or
is it crap? I will be playing doom 3 and the other up in coming high
end games.

Any suggestions?

I think that the geforce 2 GTS is the best for that machine. With other
cards you just throw away money.
