GA-X58A-UD7 Motherboard. How do I disconnect the Sata cables.
I have plugged in a Sata cable to the motherboard and it
went in with a 'click'. But how do I get it out again? I can't find a reference anywhere. Peter |

Perhaps these Sata sockets were designed for the newer type of plug - the ones with the little metal clip. I have gone and plugged in one of the old type without the little metal clip. |

No latch. It just won't budge. I'll just leave it in
because I have plenty of other Sata sockets. "Ed Light" wrote in message eb.com... Anyway I've used it for an optical drive, even though it's in a Sata3 socket. -- Ed Light Better World News TV Channel: http://realnews.com Iraq Veterans Against the War and Related: http://ivaw.org http://couragetoresist.org http://antiwar.com Send spam to the FTC at Thanks, robots. |

One time I was pulling out a not-latched SATA cable from a hard drive and when it finally gave, my hand smashed a cap off my video card. -- Ed Light Better World News TV Channel: http://realnews.com Iraq Veterans Against the War and Related: http://ivaw.org http://couragetoresist.org http://antiwar.com Send spam to the FTC at Thanks, robots. |
