Default System Recommendation sites

Hi Guys,
Have read the FAQ but no luck in finding sites or resources that have
recommendations for preconfigured systems ie Systems that folks have already
purpose built under certain criteria or categories and can be
recommended.Apart from researching individual components I am hoping to use
this info to help build my own pc.I am working from the logic that the
"whole" is more than the sum of the "parts" and would like to benefit from
others' experience and ideas.
Any help appreciated :-)

Kind Regards,
David
