Default Papst 3412/N2GLLE enough air flow to cool hitachi 500 GB harddisk ?

Hello,

This seems to be quite a nice low noise 92x92x25 mm case fan:

Papst 3412/N2GLLE

The manufacturer doesn't even list this but it's still available...

It has 1150 rounds per minute and 33 m^3/h air flow ( 19.4 cfm ).

Tom's hardware for example review the drive and said any airflow is
sufficient...

There could be two of these fans in the case and 6 harddisks... at max...

Would two of these fans still provide enough air flow ?

I hope so... because cooling harddisks is new for me and I absolutely don't
want to go overboard with cooling them... I want minimum noise for cooling
the harddisks and this seems a good deal

Noise level for this fan is supposed to be 12 to 16 dB(A) depending on which
site you believe... not bad at all !

each 3dbA increases noise level to 100%

So this should be quite quiet hehehe.

Bye,
Skybuck.

Thats basically correct but doesnt cover the extreme situations
like say the hottest days of summer necessarily, with say 6 drives
if the room does get stinking hot. Few use systems like that tho.

Should be fine. Tho 6 drives may not fit into
the 3.5" drive bay stack in quite a few cases.

Yeah, me too.
