Dell Warranty
Do Dell's desktops come with a warranty seal on them, to prevent you from
upgrading parts yourself? I've had a quick look at thier T&Cs but still no clearer! Thanks Chris D. |

Dunno about the warranty but aren't some parts in dell computers non-standard which will hamper you doing home upgrades (ISTR something to do with the power supplies...)? -- ø¤º°`°º¤ø,,,,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,,,,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,,,,ø¤º°`°º¤ø Please reply to the group Replies to this address will bounce! ø¤º°`°º¤ø,,,,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,,,,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,,,,ø¤º°`°º¤ø |

Btw it is a cheapy (155gbp inc del. 305-d1221h) but lacks some basics that are cheaper to add after than spec with the order. Chris D. |

Actually comes with a printed manual with instructions on how to open the case! Good luck with adding a floppy. They have a funny slot on the front fascia and no drive cage inside though I dare say you could bodge one up. Ebuyer quickfind 38922 is worth a thought a £1.59 gadget to put a floppy in the spare 5.25 inch bay. Actually though my neighbour has ended up with three this year though expansion and after the first one did not bother buying floppies. He just has a £9 64mb usb memory stick and everyone prefers it allot. Otherwise he can always write something on a cd or ferry it accross to the one machine with a floppy (and actually a zip to cope with his oldest machines). |

Crucial should be able to sort you out with the right RAM. -- ø¤º°`°º¤ø,,,,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,,,,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,,,,ø¤º°`°º¤ø Please reply to the group Replies to this address will bounce! ø¤º°`°º¤ø,,,,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,,,,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,,,,ø¤º°`°º¤ø |

AaaaahhHH, I've already ordered the Ebuyer mounting bracket before reading your post, but just using a memory stick would have been a more simple option.:-( Thank for all that posted. Chris D.
