Default SB Live 5.1 XP Pro Driver Updates

Hi
Can anyone please tell me if the update posted at SoundBlaster.com for the
above drivers makes any difference to the system performance. I have had
many problems caused by the drivers for this card and have even had to
revert to a standard PC from ACPI. I am loath to install it if the update
could perhaps cause me further problems.
Thanks a lot.

The drivers on the website have worked fine for me. I use them alone.
Sometimes a SB Live's drivers will not be uninstalled properly resulting in
a complete reinstall of the oS(unless you are good at cleaning the
registry). So in this case it might be worth a shot. My SB 5.1 works great
with ACPI, S3 standby...etc. I have mine in PCI slot 2 from the top down.

AGP AGP4X Card
PCI1 Nothing
PCI2 SB 5.1
PCI3 Modem
PCI4 3Com NIC
PCI5 Hauppauge TV card

Cheers Matt mine seems to be ok in ACPI at present but it was Creative who
told me to revert to Standard PC.
