using a variable in sssu script
I am trying to figure out, when creating a snapshot/snapclone sssu
script for HP EVA storage system, how to make the snapshot or snapclone name a variable, preferably a timestamp, this way I can automate the create of the snapshots and not have to worry about the name already being used. Any ideas? |

You could write a script that would modify your script before it's given to sssu, something like awk '{ gsub(/SNAPNAME/, strftime()); print}' myscript myNewScript give sssu the myNewScript file to execute. Dirty trick but it works for server-side scripting problems like the one you seem to be having. |
