Nero 5 OEM > Nero 6 Full
I can't seem to find an answer to this and my e-mail to Nero has not yet
been returned. Hopefully someone here has already taken this plunge and can answer this question.... If you own an OEM ver of Nero 5 that will only support the brand of drive that it was bundled with, which is the version I have, and you buy the UPGRADE license to Nero 6, will it require you to install it over your existing Nero 5 OEM, and give you a Nero 6 that only works with one brand of drive, or will you wind up with a ver of Nero 6 that will now work with any supported drive? Thanks in advance, Steve Z. |

My drive came with a version of Nero 5 that was to only support the brand
of drive i had. I got Nero 6 and it works flawlessly. I never even installed the Version 5. If you do get the version 6, I'd uninstall the older version first. If there was a problem then you could always uninstall 6 and reinstall 5 and update over it. I 'd try a clean install first. "Steve Zurlo" wrote in message .com... So you got the Nero 6 UPGRADE, correct? NOT the FULL license? You didn't
have to do anything to prove that you were entitled to that? It didn't make you insert the old ver 5 CD during the install or anything?? Seems hard to believe Ahead would just trust us all on the honor system here, but I guess it's possible... "Striker" wrote in message .. . The upgrade license should have a serial number. Download version 6, install
and put in the serial number. It should then work with any drive unlike the OEM version. Joe "Steve Zurlo" wrote in message .com...
