Had the very same configuration on many different motherboards. You may have to go into disk management and set drive letters more to your liking. Otherwise, no worries. -ADU -- Dear Abby: My husband is not happy with my mood swings. The other day, he bought me a mood ring so he would be able to monitor my moods. You probably already know this, but in my experience, having the two HDDs on the primary and the two optical DDs on the secondary IDE chanels, seems to produce the best speed. YMMV. -ADU -- Going to war over religion is basically killing each other to see who has got the better imaginary friend!. (-: And even if by "audio drive", you meant a HDD with music files on it, then what I said still goes. I'll try again though, pair the fastest drive with your system drive. This will usually be the other HDD. -Xam -- I used to be a schizophrenic, but we're OK now. -- NetscapeMozilla SuiteSeamonkey A blatant plug for the latest offering in a fine tradition. http://www.mozilla.org/projects/seamonkey/releases Browser, Mail & Usenet, HTML Editor and IRC Client. He is asking about adding a SATA HDD. What you say only applies to IDE. SATA doesn't share channels, each drive is a master. That's why my main PC is all SATA including the DVD-RW. 3 SATA HDDs and 1 SATA DVD-RW and no issues. |

I understood that if I have the audio drive on the same cable as my programs then there may be sort of bottleneck on the cable. as the program will be accessing the audio drive also on the same cable. So putting the audio on separate cable will eliminate this issue req |
