Video mode 1440x900 on nVidia 6200
Hi, I wanted to know if my graphic board nVidia 6200 would support a new
widescreen monitor on DVI using a resolution of 1440x900. Thanks a lot! |

It would support it at low frame rates. That card is somewhat underpowered
for that LCD. -- DaveW ___________ "Rhapsodiano" wrote in message ... Hi, I wanted to know if my graphic board nVidia 6200 would support a new widescreen monitor on DVI using a resolution of 1440x900. Thanks a lot! |

Low frame rates in Games... yes, but the OP isn't asking that question.
OP, the answer is no (unless you want to customize it). The good news, it will support 1680 x 1050 @ 60 Hz natively using the 93.71 drivers. You would have to create a special timing profile (I've never done it, but
from what I've read, it's not an easy thing to do). I thought you were interested in driving a 22" wide-screen display? Mine - and all the ones I've looked at - are 1680 x 1050. So are the 20"s. Since the 6200 WILL SUPPORT 1680 x 1050 NATIVELY, why care about 1440 x 900? SoCalCommie "Behind every great fortune is a crime." - Honore de Balzac "Rhapsodiano" wrote in message ... Are you paying attention? The OP was asking about 'reduced blanking' and
would his card do 1680 x 1050 with 'reduced blanking'... my answer was / is yes. OP - apparently afraid to exceed his card's 1600 x 1200 spec - was asking about a resolution less than the native horizontal resolution of 1680 - I'm assuming this - of the display he's thinking of purchasing. OP was asking about a 22" wide-screen NOT a LOWLY 19" :-p SoCalCommie "Behind every great fortune is a crime." - Honore de Balzac "Conor" wrote in message .. . In article , SoCalCommie says...
