FYI: the Geforce 6600 series doesn't need much power (around 28W in 3D
and even less when running 2D apps only), and basically these cards run
just fine even with a 230W PSU.

I completely agree. I've run a 6600GT on a 300W with poor 12v amperage
and a 420w single rail 18A. Pretty much without exception, all low to
mid-range parts will run on about anything at all.

Hey, thanks to all for the great advice. I will post back when I get
everything running. I am installing a copy of Vista, so I need to re-
partition the hard drive, install the 6600 and get the drivers
loaded. Nice to have all of you video card "gurus" to help.
