Video Card Recommendation
I currently have a nVidia GeForce 6800 oem card installed in a Dell. I am
looking for a "biggest bang for the buck" card to replace the 6800. The only games I play right now are FSX Acceleration and CoD 4. I would like to get a card that can handle these games well, with enough power to play near future titles. I don't want to spend more than $150, but a few bucks over that is okay too. Any help would be appreciated thanks. |

Video Card Recommendation
"K2NNJ" wrote in message ... Sorry.........PCIe "Augustus" wrote in message At the $140 price point (non-rebate right now price) you can't beat this 512Mb 9600GT http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150304 They're actually a very solid, decent performer and come in typically $40 less than the rebated price of a 512Mb 8800GT.....like this ECS 8800GT 512Mb at $180 real price http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814134028 Newegg has a number around the $180 price point...but many rely on a $30-35 rebate....which you get eventually, but it's still $210-$215 up front. There's really no difference in these standard 8800GT 512Mb reference boards. All basically identical in build and performance. The open, more efficient and more quiet fan of the others is a plus. But is it a $30 right now plus to you? |
