Default O.T. Force feedback JS - forces backwards?

I have been using a sidewinder force feedback II joystick with
the microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 3. It seems like the
forces are backwards. I go into a high G turn. Pulling back the
stick has little resistance at first, and then force appears, pulling
it harder. I then have to PUSH on the stick to come out of the turn.
This just seem wrong. I have been unable to find anyplace to
adjust the feedback in this program.

Bob
