Replace Power Supply Assistance Needed
I need to replace my power supply. The power supply that I need to
replace is a Power and cooling Turbo-Cool 510-SLI ATX12V 510W continuous @50 degress C power supply. I would like to replace it with a similar system. Any sugestions? |

The one I am using now is about 500W and I have had it for over 3 years. Just be sure not to underestimate the power you need. www.pcpower.com |

If you use the Advanced Search on Newegg, in the power supply section, then "sort by Best Rating", you can find some supplies with good reputations. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...e&Order=RATING For example, some of the Corsair supplies have done pretty well. Read a few hundred reviews, to get some feeling for how long they hold up, how many DOAs and so on. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139006 The site http://www.jonnyguru.com, has some reviews for power supplies, where they sometimes open them up, to determine the internal architecture. They also test with a power supply tester, and look for ripple level and output voltage stability. So they do a bit more than your average "yup, it sure is shiny" kind of review. Paul |
