Default ati 9600 SE : does it have 64 or 128 MB

hi

I read some posts in here that the SE has basically 64 , but I wanted to buy
this one cause it uses the same chip as the expensive 9600 pro.

and I cant find the 9700 pro or the 9500 pro in the ditch stores. so Iu
guess I have to see to work aorund it.

I am using it for musical aplication. 130 max.

Its not the memory its the bus width, SE is 64 bit, Pro and non-Pro 128
bit.

The 9600SE has a 64-bits memory bus so even though is has the 9600
chip..it's slow anyway. But indeed, it's a super budget card... with
budget potential.

Anyhow WHAT application are you using it for? Must it render video? Is
it pure 2d.. is it...

Oh thanks

I am not using it for capturing video or editing. I am a musician so I am
using it for onscreen good viisibility. i want a videocard who takes care of
VIDEO and therefore let me make music with MORE power.

I also want to edit video in the near future so I am considering yher deluxe
version with firewire, but I heard that onboard firewire suck, so I do not
know

If you only need 2D-strenght almost any available card will do. If you need
video-in capabilities AIW (all in wonder) would be the card of choice. For
built in video-decode abilities, ATI only has iDCT built in (helps with
DVD-playback, nothing more).
