Default HP LJ4 4+ fuser question

i have an HP 4 plus with no fuser assembly and an hp 4 fuser assembly
that is brand new.

it almost fits but not quite.i think i know what to do to make it fit,
but will it work?

anyone with knowledge on this your help would be appreciated

you CAN'T make it fit...even if you modify the base, the wiring is
different. I know, they look the same, but they are not.

Hi
If I remember one has a v cut one end that stops it from fitting but I
don't know about the wiring .

If you can get an old one you should be able to change the lamps over and
get it working

The Watt rating are difference between the two. LJ 4 Plus and LJ 5 use the
same Fuser.

Find a local dealer. You should be able to get a deal if you give him the LJ 4
Fuser for a used LJ 4 Plus Fuser. LaserPros International sells Fuser
Assembly with exchange for $47:

1-888-558-5277, ext 122.

No. They are incompatible.

Get a used fuser off eBay; if necessary, you can change the heater lamp
over, as they are the same and that's often what has failed. A fiddly
job, thiugh...

no, it will ruin the gears, (not the same at all).
remember LJ4 is 8ppm, LJ4+ is 12ppm.
