you CAN'T make it fit...even if you modify the base, the wiring is
different. I know, they look the same, but they are not. -- remove NOSPAM for correct address "Bill B" wrote in message ... i have an HP 4 plus with no fuser assembly and an hp 4 fuser assembly that is brand new. it almost fits but not quite.i think i know what to do to make it fit, but will it work? anyone with knowledge on this your help would be appreciated bill |

Hi
If I remember one has a v cut one end that stops it from fitting but I don't know about the wiring . If you can get an old one you should be able to change the lamps over and get it working Trev "Bill B" wrote in message ... i have an HP 4 plus with no fuser assembly and an hp 4 fuser assembly that is brand new. it almost fits but not quite.i think i know what to do to make it fit, but will it work? anyone with knowledge on this your help would be appreciated bill |

The Watt rating are difference between the two. LJ 4 Plus and LJ 5 use the
same Fuser. Find a local dealer. You should be able to get a deal if you give him the LJ 4 Fuser for a used LJ 4 Plus Fuser. LaserPros International sells Fuser Assembly with exchange for $47: 1-888-558-5277, ext 122. No. They are incompatible. Get a used fuser off eBay; if necessary, you can change the heater lamp over, as they are the same and that's often what has failed.
