HP JetDirect Performance Question
Hi.
I've recently got myself an HP Colour LaserJet 8550DN. It came installed with an HP J3113A (600n) network card. Even though it says it is a 10/100 card, I've noticed that the transfer rate of print data from the computers is about 200KB/sec - a bit slow for a full A3 photo print job landing in at a collosal 25MB. I'm just wondering if there is some configuration i'm missing to speed it up or if there are any faster JetDirect cards out there...maybe something like the 620n. It's also entirely possible that the data over network transfer rate is dictated by the imaging board but I'd thought i'd ask anyways. Cheers -David |
