Default Disk Migration with IBM Nseries Gateways 5000

Guys

I have a situation where i have to play with a NSeries 5000 gateway.

This gateway is serving san disks from ESS now and we have to replace
this ESS with DS8300...

I never worked on these gateways , so searching for some
documentations and guides...appreciate any links

Is it possible to run these gateways with both ESS and DS8300 storage
togather? what would be best way of doing this kind of migration?

Thanks in advance

Regards
