OT_Teaming of NForce Nics under Vista Ultimate
I just did some housekeeping on my Q6600/Striker Extreme system and
decided I would bite the bullet and install Vista Ultimate 32bit. Everything went great (gasp) and after installing all drivers and such I found no option in the Nvidia Control Panel to 'team' my network controllers. Both of the NForce network adapters show up in Network Connections and both work just fine when I disable one or the other. In XP Pro there was an option to team the controllers and it did make a difference especially when transferring large video files over my network. I am using all the latest WHQL drivers for both the Striker MB (680i) from Asus and the latest drivers from Nvidia for my SLI'd EVGA Superclocked 8800GTX video cards. The SLI option works fine in Nvidia Control Panel and everything else works as it should. I know this probably isn't the right group, but there are a lot of pretty knowledgeable folks here who may have the answer. Ed |
