Notebook memory pc100 pc133
I'm thinking about buying notebook memory and it seems like the PC133 memory
is cheaper than the PC100. I read some where that I could probably use the PC133 instead of the PC100 and I just want to be sure. Also, how important is that I get CL2 and not CL3? I have a Sony PCG-FXA36 with 2 128mb PC100 (CL2) SDRAMM SO-DIMM memories. -- Thanks, Jimmy Clay Read a free ebook, The Song of the Coyote http://thesongofthecoyote.tripod.com/ |

Thanks. I've seen that link before, but I wasn't sure if those were really
my only options or if those were just what they wanted me to buy. -- Thanks, Jimmy Clay Read a free ebook, The Song of the Coyote http://thesongofthecoyote.tripod.com/ "S.Heenan" wrote in message news:cV4%c.331738$gE.171859@pd7tw3no... Both Crucial and Kingston test their RAM and offer a money back guarantee if it doesn't work as advertised. http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/conf...bmit1=S earch |

I can tell you these speeds used to be backward compatible, but the
last time I had someone go ahead with the PC133 they had a huge warning on the box that read 'PC133 IS NO LONGER BACKWARD COMPATIBLE WITH PC100" in huge read letters. So that'dd be my guess is, because they removed the backward compatibility they can charge more for the PC100. So yeah, I would have to agree that PC100 is your only option. ============== Posted through www.HowToFixComputers.com/bb - free access to hardware troubleshooting newsgroups. |
