IDE cd/dvd detected as SCSI: part 2

sorry for the wasted post. i found the problem. it was ICQ. uninstalled,
reinstalled and it works. obviously didnt like the uninstalation of the IDE
SW drivers.

when you startup winXP it's rather slow.
in picture 1, the pagefile usage graph steady increases.
in picture 2, it peaks at around 2.05GB page file usage, and then rapidly

the CPU:PF ratio is 1:1, so the graphs move in time with each other, and

you see it's all HDD access, and not a CPU overload.

on 1 hand i have cd burner problems with the IDE SW drivers that are
optionally installed with the 2.03 (?? - the latest) nforce drivers. on
the
other, without the optional IDE SW drivers, the pagefile goes crazy and
renders pc useless for the first 2-3mins of start up.

so, any ideas?
