Default U160 Crappy transfer rates in Windows XP

Please help - I have a ST318436LW Ultra 160 connected to a AHA29160 and I
get really poor performance in Windows XP. Right now the drive is set up not
as the boot drive but is the only one connected to the 29160. I have heard
something about WinXP and poor SCSI performance but I couldn't get any more
info on it.

Any help/pointers would be appreciated. As far as I know my drivers/bios for
the card are up to date.

Thanks!
