New to RAID-need to add storage HDD

I'm using the P4P800-E Deluxe. I setup a raid with 2 SATA drives on the
fasttrak controller. Working great but I can't seem to add a IDE drive on
the primary or secondary IDE. The system will try to boot of any hard drives
I introduce to those connectors. I have a CDRW on the secondary connector as
Master and a DVD ROM as slave.I tried to connect to IDE 3 but same
problem:tries to boot of that drive and not the RAID'ed drives. Any
suggestions?
