desktop at 1080 but all vidz at 480

Default desktop at 1080 but all vidz at 480

cant seem to be able to display any divx or any other video in more than
480 yet i can send the desktop to the hdtv at 1080. using a aiw2006. also
in 480 cant seem to stop the overscan so missing some video on right and
left sides.

What media player are you using? Is it ATi software or Windows Media Player?
Could be some macrovision **** kicking in. Try the open-source Media Player
Classic, where you can also use the numpad to freely adjust video size and
aspect ratio.

thanks i will try it. I got the same results with zoom and bsplayer,
