Default Testing assembler code on a real Itanium

Hello,

I do not have an Itanium chip at home. But I would like to do some
tests, so is it possible to access one for free (in order to test
assembler code) ?

As I would like to use some very specific properties of the chip,
it is not possible to emulate it by software.

Regards,

David

Hi,

If Intel does not have such a thing, or in addition to such,
you could try the HP "Testdrive" program:

http://www.testdrive.hp.com/

Thanks, maybe I missed something because it is not obvious
how to select an Itanium processor. It is much more easy to choose
a Xeon or an Alpha ... Anyway I am trying. Thanks.

Based on your email address, is this relating to crypto code ?

Much more related to security in general.

Regards,

David

Based on your email address, is this relating to crypto code? FWIW
some HP-supplied assembly recently went into OpenSSL 0.9.8something -
stuff that came via http://www.hpl.hp.com/research/linux/crypto/ -
which reminds me, I promised to update the status info there...

The "Integrity" systems are the ones with the Itanium CPUs in them.
