Default Tiny PC with Supanet Optimised Modem

A friend of mine has bought a PC from www.tiny.com, ECode: 01144

Tiny Terminator Digital Wi-Fi 3700-3

The modem is listed as:
Hayes V92 PCI 56K modem optimised and dedicated for supanet to increase
performance and reliability. Customers can use any other ISP by logging onto
supanet and de-optimizing the modem.

1) Does anyone know the exact model to this modem - a link to the drivers
would be great.

Basically, my friend has removed the links to the Supanet ISP. However, the
modem will not connect to any other ISP unless the drivers a de-optimized.

2) If the hard drive was reformatted and Windows reinstalled, is it fair to
say that I only need a set of modem generic or manufacturer modem drivers
and everything will be fine. I mean, the de-optimization process doesn't
upgrade firmware or anything does it?

Thanx.

AFAIK, they will only 'de-optimise' after you have given them an abundance
of personal information.

I think there is an easy register fix, someone will know.

Seems too much trouble. I don't believe it's the drivers anyway. Alternatively,
you could plug in a modem card £10 from fairs or get broadband.

I believe its:

Use Regedit and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PDCR4032
In the right hand pane, you should see a list of entries: Default,
Band0, Band1 etc. Rename the Bandn entries to (say) Old0, Old1,
Old2 etc. Do not change the default entry.
Exit Regedit

Regards
Sunil.
