At least you can light a fire when it's cold. When it's hot, it's much
harder to find ice...

Do you strike flint on it for sparks or something; or use a clear piece,
ground into the shape of a lens, as a magnifying glass with sunlight, on
some tinder?

Well I have a Zippo and a SwissFlame (which I got 2 days ago).

Swissflame? Mmmm, will check it out.
Failing that, I think you have to rub two boy scouts together or something.

I think there might be great danger of that technique being interpreted
as an imprisonable offence though, I wonder what the law is concerning
the use of Girl Guide leaders to Light my Fire?

That metric system must be great at helping them calculate their

enormous
taxes.

Tell me about it....
Units of 10 may come in handy in the USA too especially with a president
who's intellect is such that he has to count on using his fingers.

Clinton's been out of office for years.

Clinton only needed to count on one digit.

I thought it was a cigar

It's cool, but not particularly cheap. Will set light to anything that can
burn :-)

Hmm, hadn't thought of it that way, fortunately I haven't needed to start a
fire in the vicinity of a pair of boy scouts :-p

How does a British Millionaire become a Billionaire overnight?
Become an American!

Eh? Run that by me again.

Chip

Answer, You don't need as much money to be called a Billionaire in the
USA. A Pom would need 10X as much to get the status AFAIK.

At school it was a million million for a Brit billion, a thousand
million for a Merkan billion.
But a thousand million here is normally accepted as a billion where
money is concerned so apart from the Exchange Rate it's effectively the
same, unfortunately.

And anyway, he said "How does a Millionaire become a Billionaire".

Well a million is a million is a million on either side of the pond.

How true - I overlooked that .... was it a trick question?
