Default New Build

I want to build a rig around the P5K Premium Wi-Fi mobo but Im torn
between the Q6600 & Q9300 cpus, I understand they perform almost alike
(Q9300 + 10%performance gain?), does P5K needs a bios flash to run
Q9300?, what are the preferences of the group & are there any hints tips
as to a build using this combo.

Thanks

p.s. I shall be running a non-raid setup.
