Default A7N8X Deluxe funny behavior

When I allow my A7N8X-deluxe computer running XP home SP2, to hibernate
(with no programs running) after whatever time period I have set in the
hibernate settings, I can bring it out of hibernation by just hitting
the 'enter' key (USB keyboard).

However, if I force hibernation by hitting 'start', 'turn off my
computer', then 'shift' to turn the 'stand by' key into 'hibernate',
when I try to bring it out of hibernation, I can only do so by pressing
the power button on the front of the computer.

Not an "important" problem, but a vexing one to figure out. Any thoughts?

That's how my laptop works. From hibernation you must hit the power key.
