Where to find CNR for mobo
I bought a new mobo from PC Chips to replace a bad mobo. the old mobo
had a Model PCTEL AMR V 1.2 which worked excellent. When I got the new mobo M848ALU it had a slot for a CNR. I was surprise to find that the CNR from the old mobo did not fit into the socket. The socket is longer and does not come close to fitting in this socket. I have looked everywhere where I can buy a CNR that will fit and I cannot come up with a vender. Ebay has CNR/AMR but they are the same size as what I had in the old mobo. can anyone give me a clue as to where to buy a CNR that will fit in the new mobo thanks. |

Where to find CNR for mobo
Amr/cnr are different..Both are shared slots with pci so you're best to
get a PCI modem.Newegg sells a nice Intel chipset-based modem for $7.50+ shipping. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...N82E1682518000 If you must have cnr do a froogle/google search both are still available. http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=...mod e=unknown |

I was going to go for the CNR but I think I will take your advise and order the PCI modem from Newegg. The mobo comes from the same vendor. appreciate the information thanks and a Happy New Year!
