A7N8X Deluxe Question !!
I have had this message come up two different times since I have installed the A7N8X Deluxe Mainboard: Your Multi-function devices (Standard Dual PCI IDE controller) has some childs devices using 32 bit drivers and others using combatibility-mode drivers. This configuration is not supported, so your computer has been halted to prevent corruption. After you restart your computer, windows will use combatibility-mode drivers for each child device attached to this multi-function device. If you want to use 32 bit drivers, you may be able to obtain an updated driver for the device that caused the problem by contacting your hardware manufacturer or you can disable the device. Each time I have had to format my computer because I have lost my CD Rom drives in the device manager. This is very strange and I was wondering if by chance anyone else has had this problem. Thanks, Rick |

What are the devices that you have on the IDE bus? Sometimes, mixing and matching older drives with newer ones will cause that problem. It could also be a BIOS setting for one of the drives. |
