Exabyte VXA-320 PacketLoader Tape Autoloader is constantly in recovery mode- why?
I am using an Exabyte VXA-320 PacketLoader Tape Autoloader, which has
a recurring problem. My VXA-320 PacketLoader Tape Autoloader continues to be recovering for almost 16-18 hours straight! I know that if the power is interrupted (in which I did unplug it yesterday 8/14/07 afternoon), this tape autoloader will recover to find the last tape marker. I have been told by Exabyte/Tandberg tech support that this should take at most 8 hours or so. In my situation, this has been taking, again 16-18 hours so far, and counting. Does anyone know why this is taking so unusually long and what this problem may this be caused by? Any assistance with this will be very greatly appreciated. Thanks. |
